Default How many hands before you guys can comment on my stats?

Well I finally began playing online, around 20 hours ago, during a few sessions Ive now gone thru 200 hands which is like nothing, playing 0.25/0.50 at Interpoker.com.

Was just wondering how many hands you guys think I should rack up before I can post my Poker Tracker stats and get some feedback on them, maybe its way too soon, but Im figuring if I got major leaks I would rather have them pointed out sooner than later.

    Thanks guys,
    - jnz

10,000 is a minimum in my mind.

    Anybody think less?

200 hands is like 40 minutes. I think 10k is a pretty good minimum.

    Actually took me 321 mins.
So whats the key factor, the time you've spent playing, or the number of hands played?

Depends on the stats. 200 hands is enough to get a pretty good idea of how loose and aggressive you are preflop. For things like aggression factor, you probably need at least 1000 hands.

At this point, the best thing to do is post hand histories.

I've heard people say things from 1,000 to 1,000,000 hands.

I think 1,000 is fine to spot large problem areas, but get more useful results, you want to try for 5,000 to 10,000. Also, if you know you've changed your game because of some suggestions, only count hands after the change. Otherwise you may be playing bad for the first 5,000 and good for the last 5,000 and people will suggest changes you've already implemented.

    himself fucker.
1-2k we can see where you're goin.

5k We can take another look

10k We probably know what's going to happen

25k We can draw some conclusions

10000000000000000k Since you've been playing this long, you're probably alright and don't need our help.
