Default How far do you take c-betting?

You have overcards, raise 4x the flop, and you get a caller. Let's say you totally miss the flop, but c-bet, and you get raised. Smart players will raise your cbet because they know you missed the flop, even if they missed it too. The question is, how far do you take it? If you laydown to his reraise you basically told him "yeah, I had overcards, missed, and cbet" making your plays very predictable.

Do you commonly reraise a reraise on cbet? I would assume it somewhat depends on the flop texture IE cbetting a 2 4 6 flop is a leak, while cbetting a 3 7 10 is a bit better, but it still occurs to decent players that you missed.

    Thoughts?

People that raise over a cbet with air are rare at the lower limits. If they raise you because they don't believe you, you can safely assume they have something themselves. Even if it's 77 on a 246 flop or KT on a 37T flop.

i think floating is more common (calling flop & trying to take it away on the turn) than raising. just lay it down when you get raised. i know you feel like you got caught with your pants down when this happens but just move on. remember, they may have hit a good flop the last couple times you cbet into them. also, if they are bluffing then just wait til you get a good hand and you'll make that money back. don't just keep throwing $ at a stubborn player like that.
