How do you play this queens?

I don't know much about the opponent and I don't have the handhistory since I'm not at home right now.

I raise 3bb in early position with QQ and get on caller in late position.

Flop comes 245 rainbow.

I bet something like 1.25 he reraises to 5. I reraise again and we end up all-in. He has 44 for a set.

Could I get away from this situation at all? If not could I get away cheaper? How about calling his reraise on the flop and check/fold the turn? Lead out again on turn after calling flop? Am I just doomed in this situation?

On the other hand, this time he had a set but there where plenty of hands I could beat that he would call preflop and reraise with postflop.

3BB is not enough at $25NL to push out low pocket pairs. Depending on the table, 6BB is not enough if that's what you are trying to do. On the flop you said you bet 1.25 (about a pot bet), that was good. When he re-raised you to 5, what do you think he has? Top Pair?? At $25NL, most players aren't crafty enough to be sneaky with their monster hands, and if he thought you had an Ace here due to your preflop raise, he's trying to push you away from drawing the straight. He'll be happy to take the pot down here when he knows that he's in the lead most likely.

At this level, I give credit for a Set (or possibly a fish with A3 that got lucky) and I fold my QQ EVERY time to this flop re-raise. If he shows me his cards and that he bluffed me out of a nothing pot, I make some notes and take his money later...

A lot here depends on reads, if the opponent is fairly tight then i would consider dumping here. If they were aggressive I'd re-raise that flop. I think you would see this play from an aggressive 6-max player with any PP 66+ (AA-KK would have probably re-raised pre-flop). Think, if the opponent has say 77 he probably has you on 2 unpaired high cards, thinks he's good and doesent want to let you suck out to your overcards. If he pushes back then theres a much greater chance your beat.

He goes all in
You fold like a lawnchair

Preflop, Raise to at least $1.25 to isloate. (of course that wont protect you from 44 if he knows what hes doing)

Then postflop do what rondavu says.

If you get re-re-raised with straight and flush potential on the board and you have 4 tits, lay the bitches down.

at 25nl 6max? ill gamble that queens are good all day.

99, TT, JJ, QQ, KK, AA, AK, A3, 22, 44, 55, 54s.

Without a strong read to put him on a counter-bluff, I'd say you're toast here, running at best 2 outs.

Unless you know this guy plays ultra-aggro, OR he has seen you make cont bets every time, I would lay this down without a second thought. But I would also have raised more pre-flop and put down at least a pot sized bet on the flop. $25NL players by and large aren't sophisticated enough to bluff here when you've shown strength on both streets so far.

i think over the long term its +ev to call this at 25nl 6max just because the level of play is absolutely awful.
