If I put out that 10BB raise and got called quickly, I would be thinking that I was against Big Slick and the turn just made his 2-pair....particularly after the 4BB post flop raise...smells like A-K (TPTK) kind of play. After that turn and call I probably would have checked it to him on the river....if he pushed - I may have layed it down (really hard to say for sure-I was not there) if he small bet hoping you would come over the top - I would just call and paid him off.
Sticky situation - I have played it both ways...been burned....split...won - it is a little easier if you have some sort of feel for him, but people can and do switch gears. Just one of those situations you thought you had the best hand...then find out you didn't.....what can ya do.
