    raise 3.5xBB preflop

The flop is fine even tho a bit small which is still good. in fact given how dry the board is i do c/b smaller to allow worse hands continue cheaply

How small then? Quite a bit smaller than my $6? If so, is there a certain hand you are trying to rep, like a small or medium pair? I almost wish I had played it that way, but I always get drawn out on.

My main worry with the hand was that someone was slow playing AA. Unusual at that level to get 2 callers at 12x BB, and so those callers had me pretty confused.

I guess I check here a lot more than most of you do, either c/r AI or going to value town on turn/river in an already bloated pot.

I also may/may not 3bet PF according to who the PF aggressor is.

not betting flop doesnt protect your whiffed hands

absolutely. with KQ, i fire at this thing. i dont 3bet KQ, but if UTG limped and i raised, i fire with KQ. awesome board to cbet. better example...if i 3bet with 67s or 33, i fire at this.

and, at 25NL, dont get cute here. if you 3bet, you cbet. just play it like you did. this is an example of "donkeys fold too often in 3bet pots at microstakes." granted, he would be wrong to call THIS time, but they fold when they dont hit the flop real nice to 3bet/cbet all the time.

i think what goat is saying is: if you dont bet this when you have it, you shouldnt bet it when you dont. balance is the key.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

Balance isn't that important at 25NL though.. I'd definately cbet here sometimes, check other times. If I get the feeling they all fold a ton, I'll be more inclined to check to get some value on the turn.

lol whiffed hands on this flop, ru serious? We 3bet an UTG open. The only "whiffed" hands we have are QQ/KK and betting with those would be criminal too.

i still bet, if he calls i check behind turn then bet river
