    4 things here:

    1. Welcome

    2. It is easier for us to read these if you use the hand convertor at the left

    3. You will get more help with SnGs in the SnG forum (here
    is ok too though)

    4. I am assuming this is the bubble and only 3 people get paid. If so, with the shortstack so small and folded already, you should just push this preflop because both opps ranges need to be ultra tight to call (KK+, maybe QQ)

    Huh? You raised preflop.

I think that's a sucky river bet. Get some value or get a fold. Strictly based on odds on the turn, if you can get paid on basically any river bet you have plenty of odds. I personally would have shoved the flop.

Also note I'm not a SNG or tourney player even a little tiny bit.

should have done anything but call the flop, see that now,
    gettin it, slowly

so should have raised more or pushed river??

better yet should not have been in that position on river

ackthecat-kinda beginning to like the sngs

I would push the flop. You're chip leader, it's unlikely someone will call and miss out on finishing in the money, so you pick up a few free chips. If someone calls you have an open ended straight draw AND flush draw. Fifteen outs. Something like fifty-sixty percent by the river. So someone calling here is fine too. As played, interesting. Paired boards are always interesting to me, cos they cost me (and make me) money on a regular basis. Full house vs flush, gotta hate (love!) it... So, did you win the sng?

I would play some freerolls as well then, you get loads of hands in, the play is similar to with play money and you might win cash. There is a really good article on playing freerolls I read a while ago - I'll try and find the link

about the sixth post down is an interesting freeroll strategy article. I think it's ok to post external links in here? if not, please delete this post...
not sure if the links work, if not then go to advanced search on this forum and search freeroll in the back to basics and theory sections. cool.
