Im opedipus bitch, the original balla.
You shouldn't be minraising preflop. It gives villains too good of odds to call. From now on when you have a hand you want to raise an open with preflop (3bet) raise to either 3x or 4x the original raise.

Thoughts from me are this... you only min raised his initial open bet. I would recommend 3x or 4x that bet. Not a huge difference... others might disagree.

Next on the flop two clubs come out. He may be on a flush or straight draw at this point based on the cards on the flop. Time to slow down and maybe re-evaluate... you bet in the area of 3/4 pot, that tells him you have a hand and he should evaluate... he did and called you. Thus he could be on a flush draw, straight draw, may have a set, etc. He could also be bluffing.

Turn comes as a club. You bet out a small bet, offering him odds to call. He also may still have his flush or may have completed his straight here. The thing is now you have a flush draw. You have potentially 11 outs here, I think... I may have to re-read that to verify. So with one card left to go you have a 22% chance of improving. He bet $3.18 and if I recall the pot has around 4.00 in it. You need to call with $2.18. So it is roughly 2 to win 7.

You have a 22% chance of hitting a card that makes you improve, which you might not even need to improve to win the hand at this point... 28% to 22% makes it a close one. I think in this case I'm calling to see what the river brings...

You called, Jack comes out, he shoves. Here is my thought pattern. We had flush in his range, we had set in his range, high pair was also there though I didn't mention it. He also could have a straight. I think in this case though, without a read, I personally put him on JJ in his hand. Either that or a flush. I fold.

Again, i am not the best player here or anywhere for that matter, someone more skilled can make a better explanation that I will

I fold the turn. If he doesn't have the flush he has the straight. The thing is that he has likely blocked two of your flush outs if he has the flush. If you call the turn it's only to see if you get a flush.

I would actually check that turn card since it's super-ugly and I know I might need to improve to win.

So you don't put any overpairs in villain's range?

Also, if you're going to bet the turn, make a real bet, not 1/3 pot.
