    Default How am I doing?

Figured i'd post this here as I didn't know where else it should go. I'v been playing hold em for about a year now, probably started online a couple of months after that (started with play money on stars then got a friend to give me 10$). through penny limit then SnG i'v built it to 350$ by now and i'm wondering if i'm doing well, ok, or if i should be earning more then I am.

You're up, so you're doing okay indeed.

As to if you should be making more, that's a personal decision. Winning more would likely require risking more.

positive income is always good. You are already better than 90% of internet poker players profit wise.

What limits are you currently playing?
    Just my opinion (and I'm probably wrong) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

    i reckon your doing good
first stage is to break even
second stage is to beat the game at the level you play
third stage is to move up
    etc

if youve beaten the game level you play and hopefully have moved up then thats great progress. Hopefully you'll keep it up!

    if you're bb/100 is at + then you're beating it...but it varies

good bb/100 for stars 10NL is like 18-25, but at stars 25NL 8-10 is very good

if your beating the game there are two telltale signs
1 you make more than 10bbs per 100 hands (think this figure is correct)
2 you have enough of a bankroll to move up to the next level (either sng or ring game)
some people will say that you need a good bb per 100 hands before you move up. I would say that if you have the bankroll to play higher then try it and if you keep winning then keep moving up as your roll allows.

    G00t...?

A good idea is to record results from each sessions (I use free checkyourbets), then after a week or more compare balance, hourly rate to table hours. You'll also find your best game and get more confidence in your skills - when you see many green numbers on charts , develop a good aggressiveness.

Write comments about each session, I use comments like "Tilting", "Solid poker", "Bluffed at calling stations", "Rockfest and shitty cards", "Sucked out on someone", "Bad beats" etc...I find it's good to know WHY my session ended up with particular result and I can plug my leaks accordingly.
