Nothing wrong with folding a bad hand preflop. Hands that I'm on the fence about playing are the ones that bother me.
When I'm in a tourney in EP with small PP's and two maniacs behind. I want to play, but I can't raise, and I can't open limp. So I fold because I know I'll get raised and the most of the time the odds won't be there.
Another player open limps, and the maniacs suddenly decide to go passive and limp along as well, and on the flop I see I would have hit my set. That's when I start kicking myself.
But who's to say if I really would have won? I didn't see their cards, flopping oversets and straights are quite possible or maybe they had good enough odds to call my bet and draw out on me.
imo, Hindsight actually being 20/30 sounds closer to the truth.
