Guessed I was ok when they just called my small bet on the turn, and my play on the river was questionable, is this how you would play such an awesome hand?

Shame you don't get rivers like that every day, well unless you play for like 10 hours

Chased a straight later, this always confuses me a bit and I'd like to know your thoughts on this example.

This was first up, but, do you think it would be worth betting more on the turn and trying to bluff it? I pretty much just try and pay the odds often. Feared a queen'd call me down.

    Great site guys cheers

I'm curious, why did you lead out with half of the flop's bet on the turn? To a more agressive opp, that'll signal weakness and they'll put in a bet you can't call, regardless of holdings.

Certainly not because of the stakes, doubly not because of the number of opponents. You'd probably be called by a pair of 6's.

So would the correct play be to check and fold to a bet? I figured a smaller bet would be raised by a set or a king and I would have folded there and then if it were substantial. I thought the fact they called indicated they were on a flush draw.

Check/fold would be one way, sure. Another would be to come out with a sizeable bet to represent you tripped up on 5s with the hopes that a better hand will fold.
As it played out, sakirpasam made a big mistake just calling the turn - you were afraid of his possible holdings and displayed weakness to him, but instead of attacking that he showed more weakness back at you. I wonder what Hineck had? A weak king perhaps?
