$ 11 pot to the flop. Everyone checks to the raiser, me. I bet a buck to see where I’m at and get check raised by the SB. Pot is now $14. ( I probably should have taken a free card with the hand I had)

Here’s my thought process. If he’s got trips, I’ve still got some outs. Backdoor straight flush draw or running kings. And I’m getting 14 to 1 for my dollar, so I call.

Upon reflection this was a marginal call at best, My original thought was to beat trip Q’s, I might have a chance, but he could have easily had KQ hurting my outs.

Now the Td falls on the turn and I’m feeling a whole lot better with a straightflush draw. I call $2 hoping he doesn’t have AQ or QT.

8s on the River. I haven’t played him before so I paid him off to see what he cold called with preflop. (Qc 6c) Hmmm.

Any thoughts, comments or mild berating would be appreciated.

A) use the hand converter
B) Fold the river. Calling for information could turn into a huge leak.

The preflop raise and flop calls were thin, but not horrible.

min raise pre flop is a disaster. Limp, fold, or if you want to raise, make a real one. Those are in order of OK-ness.

On the flop, you say you bet to 'see where you're at' - but giving better than 10/1 to call I don't see what info you're going to get.

When two broadways hit and there are 7 people in the hand, you should assume trips everytime. Don't raise for info. You don't need it.

For the same reason, I'm totally confused by your river call. Of course he had a Q. Pre flop he's getting the right price to call with any two, since he can assume the early limpers won't re raise. I hope at the least you considered the fact that while you do get info, you're giving it as well:

when I min raise, I have marginal holdings
I will call you on the flop with nothing
I will call on the river with nothing

These aren't necessarily bad things, but you need to play accordingly.

Everyone here has already covered your preflop play. I just want to comment on you calling a check raise on the flop, with NOTHING! Looks like you fell in love with your cards and couldn't get away from them.

Maybe it wasn't clear but this was a limit game.
I had a group 3 hand from late position. The "Bible" says raise preflop so I did.
