Default Give credit for a T?

Frankly I don't know how to ask the question without giving away the result of the hand so yes it is results oriented but not in a bad way.

Villain is a 58/15 fish. My notes are calling station(called to river with underpair to the board), chases draws, raised with TP.

After the hand I got to thinking maybe I should be slowing down on paired boards regardless of how big a fish the other guy is. With his check calling down I will admit I never really thought about him having a T and my bet sizing on the turn was designed specifically to get the rest of my stack in on a "safe" river.

Against his range(rather than this particular hand) I think I played the hand well, I'm asking because I realise I failed to consider an important aspect of the hand.

So, paired flop of undercards, calling station check calling you OOP, should I be slowing down or is it more +EV to play it like I did?

Thanks for the replies. I figured it'd be +EV to be getting it in here against this guy and such is life the small % of the time he out flops me but just wanted to make sure.
