    Default General thoughts?

    Villain is 12/9, 0% 3bet, cbet 50% over 96 hands.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    MP2 ($9.64)
    MP3 ($5.75)
    Hero (CO) ($12.49)
    Button ($10.08)
    SB ($3.45)
    BB ($11.77)
    UTG ($3.70)
    UTG+1 ($9.74)
    MP1 ($10)

Preflop: Hero is CO with K, A
UTG calls $0.10, 4 folds, Hero bets $0.50, Button raises to $1.50, 3 folds, Hero calls $1

A nit 3bets for the first time so I put him on QQ+, AK, AQs+.

I'm not folding but I don't want to get stupid with AK and figure that if my range is right and since it's his first 3bet, he probably isn't folding any of that to a 4bet and I'm behind most of it so I opt to call.

I'm OOP though so perhaps the better play would have been to fold or 4bet and call a shove?

    Flop: ($3.25) 5, 3, 3 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $1.80, Hero ???

I totally miss the flop, I'm against a nit in a 3bet pot OOP so at this point I figure c/f is about the only option that isn't -EV.

Yeah in hindsight I think 4bet/call was the way to go. Thought too much and wigged myself out by the fact it was his first 3bet.

why is 4bet/call best? nits range is super tight here and we're fairly screwwwged vs KK/AA, split vs AK, and flip with QQ/JJ.. and he probable never 5bet-shoves AQ.. infact he probably only does that with AA/KK..

is this purely an OOP thing, because calling sucks OOP and folding AK preflop sucks too?

I would advocate throwing more hands than KK+ into my 4bet range at higher stakes, but not vs a 10nl nit... then again, maybe I'm a nit..

the first thing that strikes me about this hand is that you seem to have a sizing tell. i might be wrong, but if you open utg+1 with 3.5x bb on a4s, and kas in lp for 4xbb+1/limper, i suspect people might catch on.

maybe its just something about 10nl that i havent encountered in my experiences in 2nl/4nl
    </speculation>

otherwise, i agree with bikes. since youre oop, 4bet button. if he was in the blinds and did the same raise, id probably say just flat and see the board

I vary my raises a bit now depending on table dynamics and whether or not a fish is in the blinds but generally I raise 3.5x from EP through to MP and 3x from LP. I up it to 4x if there is a limper and +1 per limper after that.

Don't think we can fold this preflop so I guess 4bet/call. If we had a better sample (300+ hands) and he was still this nitty then folding isn't out of the question.

Probably fold flop given we block AK and he won't cbet that 100% of the time + QQ+ will bet most brick turns again.

Folding is an option here but I wouldn't do that against Simone with a 0% 3bet over 90 hands

Pretty sure I'd 4bet call here but not be awfully happy about the money going in

What are you hoping for in calling to see a flop if you will just c/f a non AK board? You wont make any money against QQ's on a board like that which you could flip against if you want to 4b/c and if you do put him on AA/KK then you just get stacked anyway on a K/Ahi board. Jam preflop or fold.

these spots always suck without reads but i guess we can get it in here knowing we likely have at least 40% equity and take a note on what he shows down.

I hate this. I think I just fold here, his range is possibly even as tight as QQ+. At higher stakes I might call. But then my ranges are all off lately through playing nothing but rush.
