    Default ftr book club

i hope the modz dont kill me for this, i just posted this in the Book section, but i figured not too many people go there so here it is:

Anyone want to start this up, i just got a bunch of new books and i would love to read through at least one of them with a few other players doing it at the same time. My ideal book to start with would be Sklanskys Theory of Poker....we can read 2 chapters a week and we can discuss how to apply these ideas to our game/post hands that show our understanding and actual applicatoin, or troubles that we have in grasping these concepts

if anyone else is down or has a suggestion for a book (i just downloaded a "Poker Books" torrent that has virtually everything so i am down) then go over to the book section and post there

Split posting it here is fine with me. Some of the other subforums don't get as much traffic, so for something as worthwhile as a book club, I'm fine with it.

However, FTR has had numerous book clubs in the past. I haven't participated in any, but in the last I do believe the participation began to dwindle to the point of non-existent.

If you want to setup a book club, it might be best to talk it over with the mod of the book section (bigred I believe). And if there is enough interest you could probably set it up, as well as have dates on the FTR calendar so that others know in a flash what chapters to read, and where to post their thoughts/questions.
