Frequency of continuation bets

On a loose table (like any of the 50 nl tables i play on), i was wondering, how often should i be c-betting? im playing a pretty standard tagg lately and i think ive been c-betting way to many pots. obviously c-bets are situation dependent and work better against fewer/ tighter players, but i feel like i have been getting called too often lately by mediocre hands. i may be to easy to read, but that might be giving the other players way too much credit from some of the crap they flip over. any thoughts?

As long as you size your c/bets the same way with air as with monsters I can't see a problem people calling the bets. If they do it all the time I tighten my preflop ranges considerably or just leave the table.

I only make minor adjustments based on stack sizes and how many callers I got. The next step is putting people on hand ranges and board texture and when to second-barrel.

Assuming your opponents are even slightly aware, c/r'ing every once in a while will keep them honest.

If you feel you are getting predictable, use simple game theory when you are torn. E.g, whenever you whif and don't have a good read, check your clock for odd/even minute. Bet on one, check on the other, which keeps you random against thinking opponents.

My c-bet decision is more related to the number of preflop callers than a set % when I miss. But, I do check sometimes when I miss.
