theres exceptions to this in atom's case where he's playing freerolls (and in some of the low buy in tourneys I've played), in that when i was playing them , very often you could end up with up to 8 people sitting out. If theres lots sitting out you want to be seeing more flops especially if you have a large stack and passive players also on the table so that you can steal the blinds .Just don't take this as an absolute , adjust to your table and the players who are /aren't at it.
