Default Flopping 2 Pair - Did I do right here?

    .15-.25 NL $25 Max

    I am dealt A 5 suited spades.

I call the blind since I am in late position and there is no raise.

    There are 4 players.

The flop comes up Ah 6c 5d.

    I bet $2.

2 fold and the last guy goes all-in with $12.

    I call.

He shows 2 pair Ad 6h.

Nothing comes up on turn/river and he wins.

Did I make the wrong call? Should I have assumed he had a set and therefore folded?

    Thanks

You don’t have much information to go on. All you really know is he likes his hand enough to AI. Rainbow flop so no flush draw but the straight draw is there. Would he play a set that way? He might but most will slow play.
So let’s put him on a hand. It is very unlikely he would AI with a straight draw. Would he AI with just Ax? Posible but unlikely. So...A5 A6 56. You beat 65, split with A5, lose to A6. If you give each of those equal weight then its 0 EV to call (or slightly minus due to the rake).

P.S. I likely would have called but having the time to think it out makes it clearer. It’s a fold situation.
    Stakes: Playing $0.10/$0.25 NL

easy call at 25 nl, the only hands that beat you are 66 and 55, and a6, and you can guarantee a set is getting slow played here.

but you could also say don't lose your chips in an unraised pot, so fold.
take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately

if you dont have the nuts dont call (a set here would work here as a near nut hand)

    Default Another bad beat

I am dealt 9h 10s and I am big blind.

Three people stay in at a 10 person table($25 nl .15-.25). No raises.

    Flop is 9d 9s Qh.

    No bets. I raise $2.

    They both call.

    2c on turn.

    No bets. I raise $5

    One caller.

    6d on river.

    He checks. I raise $10.

He calls. He has 9 6 and gets full house.

    I wither away.

    Thanks.

thats just unlucky, probably even a beat. Count the outs he has to improve to a better hand than yours, or where the pot isnt split.

This is just me being nitpicky, but when there is no bet before you, you are simply betting, not raising nor is raising one bet a reraise. </anal>
