Default Final 3, home game Tournament situation

    BB has 3,000
    Hero is SB with 8,000
    Button has 6,000
    Blinds are 150/300

BB is tight preflop / slowplays almost everything postflop and slowplays all big pairs preflop

BB and hero post blinds and Button folds
    Hero is dealt :Kh: :Jc:

    Hero raises 600 to 1000
BB raises all in totalling 3000
Pot is 4000, with 2000 more for me to call.

I'm putting him (hoping) on a PP TT or lower. If my reads are correct, this is a good call in a cash game. What about a Tournament where the chips are more meaningful? If I lose, I will be shortstacked. If I win, I will be a dominating chip leader against a player I know too well.

    Call of fold?

I would call- seems like good price for pot (about 2:1 ?) Unless you were dominated, you'd prob be facing a 60:40 at worst...

I'd be worried about JJ+, ppl might slow-play these when stacks are deep, but after seeing you commit 1k to pot he might figure u'd call another 2k and get excited.

With ur info, I'd call hoping he has <TT or AQ. If AK well that's poker.

Gambool. If your read is that he always slow plays monsters than I would call that every time. My guess is small PP and you are about 50/50 to take the pot. You gotta trust your read....I won my home tournament based on a read on villain who only bet when he had a hand. However, he even said out loud "I only bet when I have a hand, huh?". And then I noticed he was betting on a lot more flops. So, on a Q Q x flop where I was the pf raiser, he bet out big on me. I thought about everything he said and did and concluded he was bluffing so I raised him big. Result: He folded. Trust your initial reads unless you have a clear sign that they are trying to "mix it up".

Same thing here, only a step further...
Against the same guys last sunday night, I was playing in a tournament and it was now 3 way. I had played with these guys for over a couple years now so i had started to learn a lot about each player. I am dealt 53o in the bb and sb completes and i check. Flop comes K99 and sb check i bet and sb raises big. I figured he thought i had nothing because i was the most aggressive player at the table, so i came back over the top. first time i had ever 3-bet with a bluff, so i took it down. won 4 of the last 6 tournees there too !
