is anything wrong with 1/2? and what if i play in a game of a bunch of inexperienced players (i.e. tv poker fans)
while it's fine as far as denying proper pot odds goes, you don't want to bet so small that you start to induce bluffs, and 1/2 pot looks a lot more appetizing to bluffy opponents than 3/4 does. and it doesn't really change against bad players.
