Default Exctract the Money! Best Method: 6 max 10nL

Ok, so I'm screwing around watching TV, playing 3 tables and hanging out with my roomate when this hand comes up. Villain is an aggresive player who has 3 bet me once with T6s bet, check, bet air on K353Q when I had KQ, and 3 bet me one other time.

I 4 bet and nail the flop, usually I bet here but I thought checking had its merits. Maybe he would think I have QQ or JJ and stack off or bluff later.
One problem with checking is that check raising just looks massively strong and he can fold 99-QQ himself.

In this situation He can likely call with a wide range preflop, anything connected or suited +medium pairs, he probably expects me to do this with JJ+ AKs.

    So
    a) What do you normally do when you cripple the deck with top set?
    b) What bet sizing do you use or do you check?
    c) In this situation what is the best course of action?

    iPoker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) - iPoker Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    SB ($2.06)
    BB ($10)
    UTG ($24.47)
    Hero (MP) ($21.22)
    CO ($10)
    Button ($15.03)

Preflop: Hero is MP with K, K
1 fold, Hero bets $0.35, 1 fold, Button raises to $1.20, 2 folds, Hero raises to $4, Button calls $2.80

    Flop: ($8.15) 5, 5, K (2 players)
    Hero checks, Button checks

With that SPR and your reads and the board I think checking flop is fine and then c/c turn or c/rai it probably won't matter. At these levels c/c can be better because villains have no awareness of stack sizes/pot odds.

Leave him room to bluff or hit a flush - c/c, c/get it in. If he checks back both streets lead river for something like $3.50 to try and induce a shove with air/call from QQ.

Here's how I would play it according to your description of the player:

Flop: I would throw in a probe bet here (3-4 dollars) trying to induce him to come over the top. If he does I push and hope he doesn't have pocket fives.

Turn: If he just calls the flop I would check the turn. Maybe his hand improved or maybe he thinks you may have backed down because your c-bet was called.

    River: Shove.
know the enemy and know yourself, and in 100 battles you will never be in peril.

know yourself but ignorant of the enemy, your chances of winning are half.

if ignorant of yourself and of your enemy and you will always be in danger.

I don't like this bet size at all, if he calls he has now invested half of his stack into this pot and will be commited, add in your strong 4bet pre and he has to put you on a very tight range , QQ+ and probably having him beaten and so probably fold losing out on any value from him.

You could bet $2 into the 8$ pot on the flop , $3 into the $12 on the turn and $6 into the 18$ pot on the river to get him all in whilst giving him great odds to draw to his flush or worse boat.

Turn: If he just calls the flop I would check the turn. Maybe his hand improved or maybe he thinks you may have backed down because your c-bet was called.

    River: Shove.
whats he going to do in this scenario with his 88-QQ hands though, probably check behind the turn and fold to the river shove , or bet the turn and fold to any reraise/shove coming back at him losing value from the hand.

Exactly what i was thinking. the only way he pays off is if he hits some miracle boat or flush.

    a) Check unless the player is a maniac post flop.
    b) Post-oak bet to induce a bluff raise or check and hope you opponet's hand improves.
    c) Check the flop, if he checks behind probably bet a smallish 1/3-1/2 bet on the turn to build the pot before it's too late to get a lot of value.

I would just bet $6 and not think much about it. How I play this hand isn't my bread and butter.
