If I pot the river, chances are a small pair may call and I'm only winning a small pot

But if I push I may get a caller from Jx especially at 10NL and win a massive pot.

    thoughts?

Of course you'll win a small pot - you're playing $0.05/$0.10. Nobody is going to call an all-in of $24.10 for a $0.30 pot unless they have the 5th six.

I would have bet $0.10 and hope for a couple of callers to boost the pot I know I'm going to win. If I got lucky somebody might have even raised me (which I would then of course re-raise about the same amount, hoping they will atelast call if not raise again).

You need to look at pots in terms of multiplications of the big blind, not their $ value. Also, you should bet for value on monster hands. By betting for value, this means place a bet that you think people will call, and not fold to.

You want to extract as much money as you can from your opponents - this means lots of small wins, not one huge one followed by thousands of nothings!

Ultimately though, unless somebody has some kind of hand, they just aren't going to call. I would have folded to even a $0.10 bet unless I had a decent sized pocket pair. But judging by the preflop play above, nobody had anything. If they were sat there with AA/KK (probably the only hands they would consider calling an all in with), chances are they would have been more aggressive preflop.

    No need to push here.
What you have to think about in this situation is not whether or not someone will make a bad call but what is the maximum amount of chips you can get you opps to call.
Ok, checking the flop isnt a bad idea, but you could lead out small trying to look fishy on a pair of twos. Ok the rest might fold but worth a try.
Same with the turn. Yes you have hit quads, but most people might notice the three jacks on board. Thus again you just have to try and get a caller, noone is going to call a huge bet here, the idea is to get them to call so bet small enough that they might think they can bluff you out or that their hand might be good.
Remember, that hitting the nuts so obviously means that opps arent going to call your mad bets, so the idea is to maximise the profit you can make, which may only be a caller to the river at .10 per street. 30cents for four jacks sucks, but you made the most of the hand.

30cents for four sixes is almost as bad

Bet 20 cents and hope for a few callers, you're very rarely going to win a decent pot with three to quads on the board.

This is a good move sometimes though, like this example:

I am delt 78h on the button. Flop comes Th9d8s, it checks around. Turn is 9h, giving me OESFD, someone bets $0.75 into the $2ish pot (I won't bother going into the preflop action), the river is the 6h, they check to me. Now, there is a straight, a boat, quads, and flush on the board..and I have the stone cold nuts of a straight flush, but if no one has a boat/quads/nut flush (straight wont pay off here) then I'm not getting paid, so I push and not only does it look like a steal but only those hands will call me, and they're all beaten. If they fold, oh well...since only those hands call me it means no one has them and I'm not likely to squeeze even another $0.75 out of them.

Only thing that'll call you down here is probably aces, and even then they might be scared of a 6 (some people play VERY passively). So, no, unless you play with COMPLETE donks, this isn't gonna pay you off in the long run.

My vote is to bet 1/2 the pot on that flop. People will put you on a pocket pair probably before they put you on the 6. Bet like you're trying to protect a pair of 7s. The guy with AK is going to fire some money back at you. But by waiting until the river to bet, the guy with AK knows he's missed and won't call even a small bet.

I think you would have made more making small value bets down the board.

Yeah, large enough to not be pointless, but small enough that they'll both call it with just overcards (or better).
