Default Double monitor question. Need help asap.

How difficult is it to set up a dual monitors. Right now I have a dell thats about 2 yrs old. I believe my graphics card is a NIVDIA G Force. I have a 17 in dell flatscreen now. I found a good deal on a
    ViewSonic Q19wb Black 19" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor - Q19WB

I need to pick it up today though, and Im not sure if I would even be able to run two monitors right away, or if I would need to buy some other hardware. Any advice on setting up these dual monitors and/or advice on other hardware I would need, would be really appreciated. Thanks guys.

Get a second video card. a PCI if you have an AGP already and just hook it up turn it on. windows will recognise it right away. Just change your settings in Display. It's easier than you think.

Before doing this, check the card that your current monitor plugs into (the video card) on the back of your computer to see if it has a second output port. Some (of course not all) come with two, so the second video card isn't needed in that case.

    No hindsight for the blind.
Be sure to get a monitor that has 1600x1200 resolution, or else you can't 4-table non-resizable tables on it without overlap.

Wow, thats some really good help! Nice work guys.

Givememyleg, that is exactly what it looks like. Alright, Im buying that my new monitor right now then. Im pretty stoked about it too.

So I just plug that new monitor into the DVI socket, change my display setting, and Im good to go? Way easier than I thought. Thanx guys.

yeah just make sure either the monitor has a dvi cord rather than a vga (which most new monitors do) or buy a vga to dvi converter which look like this:

Im pretty sure this monitor is VGA. Anyone know how much I can expect to pay for a converter and where I could get one?
