I dont know if you are giving that strategy much credit. Ive been sticking with it and modifying it as I see fit to the games Im at. Yes, it is a place to start and the hands act as guidelines, but it doesnt really just end there, you keep adding to it and building on that and let the strategy become more adapted to how you play. People who are skilled shouldnt follow it verbatim and should factor in position and other factors, but using it as a base is good for people at any level.
