I'm just starting to play cash games.Had been playing 6 max $0.01/0.02 NL on pokerstars the other night and had got my 3$ up to 5$ when a new guy joined the table . First hand I had KJo and he immediately raised it to $0.2. I called the flop and completely missed but he raised it to $0.4. I folded as I didn#t want to blow my winnings in one hand hoping. H did the same two or three times out of the next 5 hands which i'd folded anyway , so I got up and left.
question is did i do right leaving the table? . if i had hit on a future hand it would be potentially profitable, but as his bets were so large relative to the blinds , people were folding before it would get to showdown to find out what his ranges potentially were. It felt like being in the first few hands of a freeroll, more of a crap shoot than playing poker.
