Couple of questions

I play NL25 at party skins and i've been on a downswing for a couple of weeks now. To be accurate, i've been down, and then brake even, gone down, and worked my way back to even, now i'm down again.

Seems I need to ask some questions, and give me any pointers that crosses your mind while reading or writing.

1. Should i call 3-4way AI on the flop with OESD or Flush draw?

2. Should I ever play KJo, KJs or AJo?

3. How about 9To, JTo QJo (when suited, i play em from LP, sometimes raising)

4. Should I raise pocket pairs over 6 from LP?

5. What books would you recommend to me?

You need 4 to 1 for the OE straight, and 3 to 1 for the flush draw. So the answer depends on the size of their stacks.

never say never. There are a lot of times they are playable and a lot of times they aren't.

Depends the texture of the table, but a lot fo them yes you should.

ummmm Slanksy's book I guess. I haven't read it though.

Different styles dictate different play a bit. Starting out, standard tight/aggressive with minimal trickiness is probably best. That said:


1. Over time, making this call will make you money (assuming you win every time the draw hits...meaning it may not be worth it on a low flush) as long as your opponent's stack sizes are adequate. The variance you experience will likely make the short term hard on your BR. If you can mentally accept this, it's a good play to call.

2. I would certainly play these from late position. Depending on how aggressive you want to be, you could raise with them if it's limped/folded around to you.

3. Probably better off leaving these out while learning, with the possible exception of QJ in late position.

4. Depends on how aggressive you want to be. I rarely raise anything under 99 from any position at a full table. I basically look for a set or a low flop with these hands.
