Default Common Spot in the Blinds

9-person table. 1 limper and rest fold. you are in sb/bb. flop comes and you hit something like 2nd pair or bottom pair. how often are betting out in this spot if you are sb? does it change if you are bb and sb checks?

Flop texture and opponents are important. Dry board I'm almost always taking a stab here and that doesn't change if I'm in the SB or BB. Draws on the board I'm more inclined to check.

    k. ya that's another thing i was curious about - the whole dry board vs. flushy board thing.

Into weak/passive BB's and limpers, I'll still bet into drawy boards. But against a decent player capable of floating, I'm more cautious.

    No hindsight for the blind.
I usually just check-fold, perhaps stabbing at a safe turn card if the flop checks around. Out of position a flopped bottom pair with a crap kicker is not much more valuable than air.

With reads on the limper and other blind things can of course change.
