The Check Raise .
Notice the limp not the raise with the Aj :-p
But anywas how do you all determine if you should call that raise of all in, when you perform it. Because it seems when i do check raise, i get all of their chips in the pot most of the time, but im fearing here 2 pair, or trips etc. Just a 50/50 risk situation?
Seat 5: Deadly224 ($2,630 in chips)
Seat 6: RIPJohnGotti [JS,AD] ($2,740 in chips)
Seat 7: runt_girl ($1,734 in chips)
Seat 9: xyzman ($1,788 in chips)
Seat 10: squint2 ($6,108 in chips)
ANTES/BLINDS
RIPJohnGotti posts blind ($50), runt_girl posts blind ($100).
PRE-FLOP
xyzman calls $100, squint2 folds, Deadly224 folds, RIPJohnGotti calls $50, runt_girl checks.
FLOP [board cards 2C,6C,AH ]
RIPJohnGotti checks, runt_girl checks, xyzman bets $350, RIPJohnGotti bets $700, runt_girl folds, xyzman bets $1,338 and is all-in, RIPJohnGotti calls $988.
TURN [board cards 2C,6C,AH,4D ]
RIVER [board cards 2C,6C,AH,4D,QD ]
SHOWDOWN
xyzman shows [ 3C,6H ]
RIPJohnGotti shows [ JS,AD ]
RIPJohnGotti wins $3,676.
Now what im seeing is the check raise, even though very good is a more dangerous play then the standard continuation/value bet because you don't know what your really up against. Yes this guy was a chump but still.
