Default Calling in on small blind

Half price bet, and the worst position at the table. How do I work this equation. What types of hands will you limp in with in the small blind and why ? Will you call the small blind with a J 10 os, or an K10s ? What do you limp with and why ? Any thoughts are aprecited.

It depends mostly on the rest of the table. Remember, you have good position on the openning round, so you have information and the decision is situational.

If there are a few callers, I do like speculative hands like low suited connecters and pairs (and maybe a blind check on the flop in tighter B+M games). As far as JTo and KTs? You have to figure out what your opponents are calling with, you don't want to go in dominated. If there's four or five people in, assume any weak ace is dominated, KT can go in the muck as well. I personally like JTo, but there's not much to mathematically back that. I'll always complete the blind with it, but it's not necessarily the 'right' play.

All of that said, I'd rather call with a low one-gapper(57) than play a dominated hand out of position.
