    Default Calling with overcards?

The situation is as follows: A semi loose player puts in the minimum raise preflop i call from the BB with A10os the flop comes rag rag rag with 8 high, he raises about half the pot, what to do? call raise or fold...
    (0.25/0.50 NL, shorthanded)

If you think a pair will hold up, should you catch it, It's more or less a straight pot odds question to me. You've got about a 13 percent chance of catching your over. If he bets half the pot, you're getting 3-1 on your call... Very poor odds. It's an easy fold.

Now, since your opponent is laggy, we can eliminate calling as a base option. You should basically either reraise or fold. There's a fair chance that you ACTUALLY have the best hand. I might put in a raise, and if called, follow it on the turn with more aggression. Might be able to get your opponent to lay down....

Or you could fold. Probably the "safest" play.
