Calculating Odds

Can anyone show me an easy way to calculate odds? Like if the raise he makes is too big for me to call and stuff considering my outs.

Make an example with like like 2.50$ pots before raises and a raise of about 2 dollars for an open ended straight draw....

for approximate odds, it's about 2% per out you have. so if you have 8 outs (as in an open-ended straight draw), you have a 16% chance of hitting it on the next card (and a 32% chance on the next two cards).

personally i use (outs * 2) + 1.5 = % of hitting it on the next card.
for both turn and river, multiply that by 2, and take off 1.5%

how much can i call and that kinda stuff.

basically if you are 30% to win, you shouldn't call bets more than 30% of the pot.

the general way i figure percents/odds is with some sule i saw on some site that works

after the flop you multiply your outs x 4, and after the turn you multiple your outs by 2 and that is the % to catch one of your cards

example: flush draw on the flop, 9 outs x 4 = roughly 36% to make my flush

that is close enough to the actual percentage for me and its easy to do in your head on the spot

Ok to figure out if you should call:

1 / (#outs*2)/100

Example:
4-card flush 9-outs
9 * 2 = 18 -> 18 / 100 -> 18% -> 1 divided by 18% -> 5.56

So if the bet is $1 and the pot is $5.56 then call. If the bets $2 then the pot would need to be $11.12, etc. Its not an exact, but its good enuff for me.

At $1 bet to call:
gut short straight (4outs) -> $12.50
flush and open-ended straight draw (15outs) -> $3.33
