    Default bothersome problem

Haven't posted here in a while.
I've recovered my bankroll twice in the past four months, but lost it all about two weeks ago.

The main problem is I lose it to slowplaying.
Hitting top pair top kicker or even two pair and having my raises called.

Once, I make a bet on the flop, and ended up losing a hand to someone with pocket kings.
What's worse is that these people don't raise preflop at all.
They wait for someone else to do the raising and smooth-call.

If I hit a decent hand on the flop and I make a sizeable raise and it gets called, wouldn't it be wise to check/fold on the turn? I don't like the feeling of giving these people my money when they pull this garbage.
Other times, I have this happen and end up winning the hand because I either outkicked them, or were trying to slowplay two pair (I had made my straight/flush or whatever monster hand).

What's worse, is that these kinds of people limp with high pocket pairs preflop.

How should I handle these types of situations?
It's the one cause of me losing money.

If you post some hands we can give you specific advice. In general, drawing hand values go way up against opponents who over-slowplay. Punish them for lettting you see all five cards. Also, if possible get a determination on if they will call a raise without a "slowplay-worthy" (in their eyes) hand.

There's a guy that plays in my home games who slow plays any good hand he gets in hopes that it will entice others to bet (rather than scare them away). Anytime I have a moderate hand (TPTK for instance) and he calls my flop raise, I check/fold the rest of the way. Works out pretty well.

Try not to pot commit yourself too early. If you're holding top pair in ring sometimes a pot sized bet is not best take into account your opp. Think about it this way. If you are holding a set on the flop in late pos and someone in front of you automatically bets the pot. What are you thinking? I think tpgk or 2 pair so I slowplay my set. Play this hand for what it's worth. Dont show it down unless it's affordable to do so. Also play sets more like a TP and people will think twice about calling more often.
Superb play sir...I always call 20% of my stack off with a gutshot draw. Excuse me while I race for my wallet.
