Botched KK, river decision

Guy was running 30/15/7 over 60 hands. Saw him overbet shove the river on a QQ55x board holding a Q (got called by a donk with 77). After his raise on the flop I wanted to c/r AI on the turn, which failed miserably. I know I fucked this hand up badly (on all streets looking back on it), but do I call the river here as played?

I fold unless I've got a good read that the guy likes to hugely overbet and push allin with bluffs like that. His AF is very high, so that's possible, but I'd have to be very sure.

There is a chance he's got something like JJ, but more than likely he's got the flush.

As I'm sure you figured, reraise flop to $5.50 or so. As played, make a strong bet on turn.

Your river bet is also pretty weak. If you are going to bet, I'm going w/ about $3.50, maybe a little more.

Fold and read up on value town.

It's not a matter of "at this stakes", it's matter of flop texture and your 120bb behind.

3bet flop.
As played flop, lead full pot on turn
As played turn, bet/fold river.

The guy probably had a flush draw, thats why he raises the flop IP so he can check behind on turn for free card. 3b flop, if he 4b's or pushes ez decision if he calls obv bet turn.

Now fold the river as played.

As played, fold river -- he hit his flush way too many times for calling to be profitable long-term. Then repeat "I will never slow play sets at these limits ever again" over and over and over... Yes, you may push him out going for the flop 3-bet and PSB-ing the Turn, but winning a smaller pot beats getting sucked out on a larger one any day of the week and twice when it's my $$...
