Yeah and be careful. Even if it feels safe, it is not always. Philippines is the same, nice people, feels very safe, but there are lots of stories of robberies turned sour, carjacking, holduppers (as they call them here) in the public transportation, pickpockets also.

And beware of the ladyboys. Same stories here with the occasional street fight/stabbing.

Also tourist traps (like some guy slips something in your hand while you walk and the cops show up and accuse you of drug trafficing, or short changing when you change money, or an underage girl makes contact with you and the cops show up accusing you of child prostitution).

Also cover part of your credit card numbers with some tape and generally ignore people making unsollicited contact in the streets.

You will also find that in your normal business dealings, people try to take advantage because you are a rich foreigner... Useful to have locals helping you in you endeavours and asking for the prices before you show up.
