I briefly went through your blog. Couple of things:
- how is your internet connection out there? A severe problem we have in the Philippines is intermittent disconnects, from a few seconds to minutes or even hours. Every ISP in the country has this reliability issue (not even speaking of bandwidth being half of what is advertized). Obv the disconnect problem is pretty bad and maddening for pokers. One solution to this is to have two ISP's, for example one cable DSL and one 3G/4G wireless. Then you buy one of these routers called "load balancing router" or "dual WAN router". Via this router, when one provider goes down, the other one acts as a backup and takes over automatically.
- for bug repellent, here we have "Mosquito off" (Johnson company). Comes in spray or cream. Can be bought in any pharmacy or department store in the malls and often in the cosmetics row in the hypermarkets. Cheap and efficient.
