Bored ??

A little about me, I started playing limit over a year ago. For along time I was a slight loser, but bonuses kept me afloat. Earlier this year I switched to no limit. The last 3 months I have been doing really well. I am now playing 100nl /200nl. But the last few days I have kinda bored with NL.

I have a regular job, wife, kids etc, this is just a hobby for me. So what do you guys do to keep your interest up. I have played some 5 max, that is definately more intense and much more swingy. I actually played $1/$2 HOSE last night on stars, and I have no experience with stud. Maybe I should take some time off, but I would hate to lose time if the senate passed that bill.

I start coaching soccer soon, so maybe that will help.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has ever just been .... bored with winning????????

Well I love playing poker. I live in a state where there are zero casino's (Texas) and the nearest casino is about 4 - 5 hours away. I try to go to Vegas 2x per year and I get in all the live games I can down here but the internet is perfect for me. I like live poker better but internet poker is pretty fun. My goal as this is my hobby is to become a winning player right now I'm at 15 bb/100 over 5 k hands. I obviously need more hands to determine if I'm a winning player but I will play it as a past time. So if you are bored or burned out with poker and its just a hobby take a while off. Don't play for a week.. I guess just play when you want to its fine . Everyone will get burned out and tired out from time time.

If it's a hobby and it's not fun, don't do it. Not only is it silly, you most likely won't play as well.
