    Default Big Laydown

I'm pretty sure this guy had aces or kings though I guess it's possible he had queens too. What do you think?

    I wouldn't say big laydown...

I would just call his reraise, no reason to be raising that and especcially so weakyl when he is likely to be going all in.

a little town called none of your goddamn business
call the raise flop a queen and stack him.

Dont ever fourbet with QQ preflop.

With no reads and the fact that hes a half stack, he also has AKo fairly often. I agree with the set hunting line though once he reraises.

If you are going to 3-bet I dont think you can fold to the push without a read at these stakes. Not too sure of this so id like to hear what the other 10NL folks say but I think there is enough chance he has AK, AQ, JJ, TT to call the push once you have over half your stack in.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

You are getting 3.5:1 odds on your call. That's almost good enough if you knew he had KK or AA. He doesn't have to have a lesser hand very often for the call to be correct.

This was a very bad fold.

Yes. Put in 3.10 to iwn 7.35
You need to win 30% of the time to win

Assuming only either AA/KK (20% win) or AK (57% win) you would need to see AK 25% of the time

Given the size of his stack you'll see non AA/KK more than that. You'll even see donk stuff like JJ or AQ about 5-10%

Not a big laydown just a bad laydown. Whole hand was played poorly in fact. You probably knew that already

Actually, I had 74o, but it just "felt" good.

    Kind regards,

On a serious note, I think this was an easy call to make.

As others have so rightly pointed out, you had more than the right price to make the call. What was your observation of this player up to this point? Had he been losing many hands prior to this one? Was this the first hand you'd seen him involved in all night?

If his reraise had thinned the field down to just the two of you, I probably would have just called, looking to hit a set on the flop. I'd have to know more about his play to know what I'd do if I missed my 8-1 shot.
