    Default Big hands vs unknowns

I was talking to a friend the other day and I came up with something that might help some people. He has some trouble coming up with a line to run when he flops a big hand. Here's a paraphrase of what I told him:

When playing a big hand against an unknown or a really wide range, play as if your opponent has the next best hand that he could likely have. If you flopped a set, play as if your opponent has 2p or TPTK. If you flopped the nut flush, play as if the villain has a baby flush or a set, etc. This type of thinking tends to get maximum value from your big hands and thinking up exceptions would be a great exercise.
    Check out my self-deprecation here!
