Default Best place to play Low limit holdem -new question added 7/14

Hi, this is my first post so please be kind.

I have played just a little online poker, and right now I'm playing at PartyPoker 0.5/1 and building up my chips slowly (I agree that people are not very loose/wild in general). My question is, since I'm doing fine at there (I get 5BB/100 at currently, although the sample is small) should I stick to Party? Or are there better rooms available?

Also, I also read that people critizing the rake structure of Party. For low limit, if the pot is under $5 there is no rake, and if the pot is $5-12 then it's .5. I suppose that's not too bad unless all the pots are $5-6. Or are there better deals? Thanks a lot for your answers.

New question: I am playing at bodog $1/2 right now and the table is crazy. They are very loose/passive. My question is will you slow play your big hand pre-flop then? I raised with AK UTG+1 and everyone folded.....

Playa sounds like you are doing fine. Keep building that stack, improving your play, and move up in levels. I think you'll find that the play isn't much better in the 1/2 or 2/4 games at Party. The rake sounds ok however if you feel it is tearing into your profits then I would search elsewhere. I think you'll find that Party might have the best low limit players. Im playing at Titan and i have been playing poorly lately, trying to new strategies out, and I am doing relatively well. The only problem at Titan is the lack of players. I swear I feel like I am in a home game every night around mignight PT cause Im playing the same 20 fools every night.

-one last word of advice: sounds like you're getting a little antsy, make sure you remind yourself low limit is a grind, while you may not be turning a huge profit your roll is growing and you will eventually move up to more profitable stakes. Patience Patience Patience, don't force it, just take all their money.

    Good luck to ya!
