Default Beating downswings at low NL?

I play 25 NL mostly, and I have a question about downswings. It seems like im getting sucked out with better hands, thats variance, I understand that. I am just ending a downswing where nothing was going my way, but thru judicious folding and better overall play, it seems like this downswing hurt less than the last.

But i have also heard people say you wont get cards all the time, meaning to win you have to bluff. But at low limits, people will call down with anything. I do bluff, but get caught a bit.

So when on a downswing, and barely able to bluff, do you just wait it out? It seems very tight to play like this. Any thoughts?

That's all the discussion you need...you can't bluff if they'll call. You just have to win enough when you get cards to cover the times when you don't. Well, you also need to have the discipline to not change your game when you do go cold...that's usually the harder part.

It's a myth that at the lower limits people will not fold. They will. They just won't usually fold if they have gotten ANY piece of the flop, including sometimes a gutshot draw. This means that if you can tell the difference between a drawing hand and a bottom pair, you should be able to push the draw out on the river when it doesnt hit, or let go when it does. I know it's been said many times before, but the small uncontested pots can add up quickly.

You can bluff, but only at the right spot. I avoid bluffing from an early position, but if the flop gets folded to me as last in the round, I'll often make a half or pot size bet. Don't over do it, and watch the flop. If it is rainbow Ten high, and little straight possibilities, then a bluff might work.
