Two things:

1. Online poker isn't illegal on a federal level in the US, and that's been clarified and made explicit since late 2011.
2. No presidential candidate is going to really influence online poker in the US in any meaningful way.

What's probably going to happen is that more states are going to regulate it on a state level over the next few years before the federal government really decides to get involved at all (if they even do then).
