    Default Bankroll Management

I am not really sure if this is the appropriate trend to post this question in, but I don't see one that would be any more approriate. My question is regarding the play level one should be at in both ring, tournament and sng games. I have read place that your buyin level should be 100 to 1 to your bankroll, i.e. $1000 would indicate playing $10 tourneys and sng's and likely .10-.25 ring games. I personally have always used the ratio of about 35 or 40 to one. Which based on a $1000 bankroll would fit with playing $20-$25 tourneys and sng's and .50-1.00 ring games. What ratio's do others use and feel the appropriate play levels would be?

100x is more for MTTs, SNGs and ring 35-40 is fine.

The quoted article states 15-30x buyin for no limit games, so for $100NL, it appears you should have a $1500-$3000 Bankroll.

yes. 20 buyins is most commonly recomended around here. If you are comfortable with it, take some shots w/ $1500, but definitly drop back down if you lose a few buyins.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

The BR management rule for tourneys is between 50 and 100 buy-ins, with most people advocating the top end of that range if you play MTTs exclusively.

I don't like linking to other sites but Fox's BR Management article is one of the best ones out there on the subject.

the only reason we can use 100 for MTTs is because most people quit poker or switch formats after they lose the first 50.

Also, unlike SnGs or ring, you aren't going to play the same level all the time - the 100x give you the biggest tourneys you should be playing, but mostly you should play smaller.
