    Default Badly played top pair

This was the first hand at the table so no reads. I think I was on tilt due to having AA cracked by runner runner straight cards earlier on another table.

When he min raised on the flop I really felt like re-raising but I wasn't sure if this would get any value from a worse Queen or Ten. Also felt felt he could not have a flush draw as most villains at this level would just call.

Turn check is horrible in retrospect, giving free card to draws and giving away the lead. River shove is vomit worthy, he only calls with better than top pair. Any advice appreciated.

I dunno. His raise is repping a flush draw, 2pr, sets and straight draws.
So calling the flop is read dependent.

Here's the problem: The turn check would normally not be bad, in the name of pot control if your opponent hadn't raised. But by calling his raise, the pot is now so bloated and out of controll, folding is a bigger mistake than not getting your money all in. So you either need to shove here and take away your opponents odds to draw to his flush/straight or get away from the hand.

River as played is bad IMO. Check/call is probably best since you don't have a solid bet/fold amount. But our options check/call and check/fold also suck... I think check/call may be best because your opponent might try to bet a smaller amount to induce a call with a superior hand... meaning you lose less, and if this is a bluff induce he'll bet more... meaning that you win more.

IE if opp has flush he has a small chance of betting like 50 cents because he doesn't want you to fold instead of just lawlshoving like he ought to on just about every river here. But if he does Lawlshove the odds that he's got a missed straight draw, or a set or 2pr goes up because he's trying to bet a large enough amount to force you out.

The problem is this: You committed your stack to the pot when you called the raise...
The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than average. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their mistakes

you hit straight on river right.
so he had AK or flush?
    I still shove the river
He will pay us off with two pair and sets

i wouldn't feel so confident he's calling w two pair and sets. even non-thinking opponents are likely know that any K, 8 or two diamonds has them beat. i can best stomach a c/c on the river.

HOWEVER i don't think we should be putting ourselves in the situation we were in. people might disagree but i hate flatting KQo out of position, especially with other callers. this is the best case scenario and you're still in a terrible situation, it's never gonna be easy. fold or 3bet. i'm NEVER 3betting the flop, unless i have a ridiculous note on villain like went all in with middle pair. why turn this hand into a bluff? i'm even considering a fold more than a fold because you're committing yourself to the pot. i also don't like the turn call. again we're committed, so why are we giving a chance for draws to suck out on us?

in short, though, i struggle w TP2K OOP in a multi-way, raised pot when someone else has the initiative, so i hate to just call here. it seems like you do to so i'd suggest avoid ever being in this spot in the first place
