ATo, in the bb, hit 2 pr on river facing raise all-in.

1st, raise pre was a misclick raise, I wanted to raise, but I wanted to raise to 4xbb.
UTG has just sat at the table about 12 hands ago, and has limped in 1 time prior and folded on the flop. When UTG calls my bet on the flop I think he has weak A's, maybe connected J's and smaller pp's. Turn I check, I'm not sure if this is right, my thinking is tpgk not good for 3 streets of value, and I want to place a river bet, thinking I get most of his range to call on the river whereas he folds a lot of J's and weak A's here on the turn if I bet. Also I could be behind AK, AQ. Turn, I bet 2/3 for value, his raise all in can easily be JT here, which I have him on, and could possibly be an idiot trying to slow play AK, or could be a bluff, or...

2. Define his range(bolded part)

3. Whats your equity vs that range? Call this number E (use Pokerstove for this part if you dont want to do it manually)

4.If E>=E*, then call. If not fold.

5. Experiment with different ranges adding and removing hands, and see how your equity changes.

TT is the only hand I can concievably put him on that beats you now that played this way. Surely any kind of set would bet turn when checked to.

Alright, I just ran some numbers, and I need 58%+ to call. With a range of TT, AQs+, KQs, JTs, AQo, KQo, JTo, I have 56.4%. So the numbers say I should fold, unless I can add more hands for him bluffing.

Is my thinking on the turn good? Or should I be betting?

The equation would be 1.02 (what we need to call) / (1.02 + 1.77) = your equity needed to call.

Well that's like 37%, I have to try really hard to get my hand that bad vs his range, so easy call.

So basically you need to do the equation 1.02/2.77 (or 1/2.7) = 37% which is a big change.
