This past summer is when I really started to think about depositing money on an online poker site. I did some research and eventually discovered FTR. Lurking in the shadows for a while I read a lot of the strategy portion of the site until I figured out that also joining the forums would be extremely beneficial.

After being a member here for a while I decided it was time to start playing. Initially I played small stakes SnG's, but after trying cash games I decided cash would be my focus. I played break even at 10NL with a starting BR of $100 (before I really understood BR management). During this time I posted hands here, read books (HOH 1-3, ToP), and worked hard on improving my game.

In early September classes started again for me and I played hardly any poker and was seldom seen on FTR because of my course load. December is when my poker urge got me playing again and I basically picked up right where I left off. My BR as of today is $336.64.

FTR has been incredibly important in my progress as a poker player and part of the reason why I think I would get tons of value from a Grinderschool membership is how much the free videos here at FTR have helped me (Spenda's, Jym's, Renton's, Sauce's videos were all great). The difference in my game right now to when I first started is amazing. I'm at a point right now where I feel I learn something new every day/on the verge of conquering the micro's. Grinderschool would definitely help push me up to 25NL, 50NL and higher.
