I would like to apply. Been playing for a little over a year now. Play the $5.50 S&G's mainly with 1 semi failed attempt at the $11.00's. I feel I have a decent understanding of some basic concepts and am a winning player. But I know I could learn alot from Grinder School and what I already may know would be reinforced. When it comes to cash I am really lost. I know the cash game is where the money is at and would love to try and transition to that but really do need the "schooling".
Also, I'll play the blind card. I found out like 2 years ago that I have a rare genetic eye disease called Choroideremia. It's basically the opposite of macular degeneration. I am losing my peripheral vision and will eventually be blind. I am lucky though as mine seems to be progressing slowly. I am really close to legally blind now and know at some point I will no longer be able to do my job as I work in a warehouse where I have to drive a forklift and all that. Luckily I work in a HUGE warehouse and am in my own area so I still drive now but am really careful to look around a lot before I do my work. Anyway, I would like to think someday I could use poker to supplement my income when I am no longer able to work. Luckily since it eats the outside of the vision and tunnels down until blindness I will have my central sight until the end so I can still see a computer screen. LOL
I only mention the blind thing because it is a driving force that makes me want to learn and get better so I can still provide a good life for my family. I don't feel sorry for myself and want anyone to feel sorry for me. There are a million worse things I could have then this.
I have read alot and am this site everyday. I should post more I know but I play on Sportsbook and the hand converter doesn't work with it. But I have sent some tourneys to Tai and he has pointed out some major leaks, I would love to gain the insight that Grinder School could give me to plug some of those leaks.
I was one of the hardest on Slev. Glad to see you have seen the light Lucky and I am sorry for flaming (although at the time you totally deserved it LOL ) But very cool of you to do this.
