    Okay,

The first thing you need to do, is quit your day job and play professional.

Secondly, send me money via Party Poker my username is elipsesjeff, I could use about $3k.

Thirdly, don't ask for changes when you are beating the game!!!! Don't fix anything that aint broke.

Check out my videos at Grinderschool.com

More Full Ring NLHE Cash videos than ANY other poker training site. Training starts at $10/month.

Get that up to 160k and then take me on a cruise.

It couldn't hurt moving up to 200NL (party skins, full table I think is what you play) but you don't really need to fix anything.

Yeah man, you practically average 1$ per hand you play. Go play more, just not at my table.

    Nice numbers.

Is this 100% of your $100NL history? It seems to me that a person could torque their stats by forgetting to request hand histories during/after losing sessions. Adding upswings and skipping downswings will result in huge numbers (hugely misleadin').

I DON'T mean to imply that ilike's done this...he has the reputation of a stellar player. Just to ask, do you think players deceive themselves this way with STAT software?

Nice work, great stats.. Care sharing some of your techiniques for the rest of us. Im looking for some advice from a NL ring shark like yourself. I tried playing NL ring, and I got dealt pretty hard. What college?

Get the degree. Continue playing poker as a part time job stay at the level you are at start multitabling. Once you have the degree you can reassess your options, but at least you have something solid to fall back on.

The current popularity of poker could be a passing fad.

    Holy Mary Mother of God!

What kind of playing style do you use?

Do you play one table at a time?

How many hours do you usually play each day?

How long had you played before starting these stats?

Sharing my stats would now be comical.

I'm going to start taking your posts more seriously.

Well I am fairly tight preflop as you can see....I like to see a lot of flops with pocket pairs and these are all my stats since I have ever played online...at one point when I first got Poker Tracker I was down 800 dollars.

Actually, I didn't know what VP meant until you just sort of explained it. "VP" is short for "VP$IP", right? Or "percentage of hands you voluntarily put money in the pot". Right?

    Not that much

    Good stuff.

VPIP seems pretty low for no limit.

Dude, don't. You're destroying the game at a rate of 20bb/hr. Don't mess with it.

    Impressive earnings.

Do you play Tight Aggressive or a different style postflop? How do you bluff? Are you just playing great cards and folding when you miss or are you running over tables?
What's the difference between a large cheese pizza and a poker player?

A large cheese pizza can feed a family of four.

I do a lot of bluffing. I set up my bluffs preflop by raising. If I am in late postion and there are like 4-5 limpers before me than that is like 10 bucks in dead money just sitting out there for me to take...I will just bump it up to 15-20 bucks and take down the blinds...If I get called I have some nast stuff like 75 suited and if they check to me I take it down 90% of the time by throwing out a pot sized bet. If they reraise me and I didnt hit some beatiful stuff then I give up....I play really smart pre flop and post flop and never give any thing away they have to fight for whatever they get.

Maybe you should start teaching NL poker and charge $250 an hour. I can only dream about dreaming about making that kind of profit. I don't know if you realize just *how* well you're doing. Those figures are ludicrous.

Do you have any idea which kind of hands are your most profitable?

Are the bluffs a large part of your winnings?

With VP = ~16.5, how often are you bluffing? It doesn't seem like it could be more than ... I don't know, 5% of the time?

What do you do when someone calls your bluff, but doesn't reraise you? How do you know when to "fire the second barrel"?
  25. #25
I think I am pre flop raising about 5.6 percent of the time....When I come in for a raise as I said I throw out the pot sized bet.....If I get called then I check the turn 90% of the time unless I am convinced he is on a draw in which case I push AI on the turn If I truly think my read is correct. If I think he is calling with say top pair it is hard to get him off that hand and I usually check it. My most profitable hand is AA I have won 4900 with that hand alone.

    So do you like aces?

What about KK? QQ? AK? AKs? (I only ask because it sounds like you have all the stats in front of you.)

What about sets with small-mid pairs? Are they a big plus for you?

Okay. Sorry. I thought others might be interested in this information, too. But I'll do that.

    Those are some impressive results!

How can you have won 4900 hands with AA when you only have about 45000 hands played?

You shouldn't even be seeing AA any where near that many times in 45000 hands.

Odds of being dealt pocket As is 220:1 against. By my approx. math, you are defying the odds big time. You should have only seen (forget won with) AA roughly 200 times, and yet you've WON with them about 24 times more often than that?

    I think he meant $4900.

    that's extremely impressive there!

personally my goal by summer is to make $10USD an hour possibly including some bonuses. I have had a fairly good casino bonus (blackjack) empire going for the past year and a bit so I have a very nice bankroll available, however I started poker with $100 @ UB and after a couple months took that out again, I have $295 profit in there now.

So far I think my stats @ 25c/50c are about 1400 hands played and 15BB/100

i think it is completely unreasonable to set a daily or even weekly goal for poker, it simply does not agree with variance of such a game. A monthly goal is much more appropriate.
