Your problem is one of three possible things.

    (A) Size of Bankroll in relation to limits played.
    (B) Not skilled enough for that limit at that site.
    (C) A and B

Dont kid yourself and think that it could be a run of bad luck if your playing with the correct bankroll! Many players lose way to much money learning what should cost pocket change.

If you didnt you have the bankroll needed to cover the vairance for your limit ($100NL needs a 1-2 grand bankroll), then it could easily be just normal vairnace.

If you did have the bankroll, then you need to move down in limits and work on your skill.

Many players make the mistake of thinking that these horrible players are why they are loseing and try to avoid them (and move up in limits) because they think that they are losing because they are playing against players that are "to stupid to fold".

    This is self deception.

These players are the easiest to beat and you need to first learn to beat them before moving on. (after all, for the rest of the time you play poker you will be looking for players like this everywhere you go... )

The next big mistake people make is thinking that they cant play .01/.02 because the money involved is nothing to them at that level.

    This is another stupid mistake.

You need to train yourself to see your profit/loss and bankroll in terms of Big Bets. $2 at .01/.02 is the same as $100 at .50/1.00 and you need to know that to your core. One day when your sitting at a $2000NL table, and you push 2 grand into a pot, you will be glad that you learned this lesson.

dont think "I won .40!", learn to think "I won 20 big bets!"

Then you can keep in better control and tilt less.

Play in bankroll, start at the lowest limits you can find (.01/.02 or .02/.04) and build from there. Move up when you have 15 times the buyin for the next level, and move down when you have 10 times the buyin for your current level. Never forget that the best player in the world will go broke sooner or later if he plays out of his bankroll.

Believe me, if you have the skill you will not be at the .01/.02 level long, and using your bankroll as I suggested will allow you to reach whatever level you should be at without self deception (over or under) and you will only be risking the minimum deposit. (as low as $20 on some sites)

oh, and as for a story to encourage...

Just a few months ago I was playing at .05/.10 trying to rebuild after losing all but $5.50 of my bankroll and now i'm sitting on a $2000 online (with another 10k offline) bankroll, and another 12k in withdrawn profit.

    It can be done.
Be smart about it and learn those lessons cheaply.
Move up as you learn the needed skills.

    Q. Is poker Gambling?
    A. Do you use correct bankroll management?

Thanks for your replies I probably need to move down in limits I have a bad habit of trying to get my money back to quick by either playing like crap or trying to play higher stakes what are good sites to play lower on I really like full tilt but havent really played anywheere else except for pokerstars and partys play money tables and just dont really like the software but it doesnt matter as long as im learning good poker skills and Laeelin thats one hell of a story good luck everyone
