Possition is important, and your possition sucks, so I'd check/ call small bets on the flop, and turn and fold if I don't improve on the river.

Likely, maybe. But by likely I'd say 70% of the time. You LIMPED into this pot, that isn't a large investment. If you had called a huge bet preflop then you would play differently.
Don't lose good money chasing bad money and don't fall in love with your hand.
