    Default All-In Players

Last night I was playing a 46 man, 11 buck buy in tourney NL Hold'em. I got to heads up, stacks were about 29k vs. 12k or so and blinds were 500/1000. Guy went all in 3 times in a row preflop, and I called with K-K after folding the first two and he had A-9 off and caught 2 9's...question is, do I just keep folding if he does this since eventually I will get a decent hand or what, since the blinds are so small? I kinda made a statement telling him he was just too scared to actually outplay me and whenever he did it after that I just folded if I never had a hand...Do you say something to players like this? Why do they not know you will call with only a premium hand that has them dominated? Well, eventually I put him in his place and took 1st after about 20-30 min heads up match! Finally broke through the suckouts and lucky cards to win another.

When the short stack is close to 10bb, it is correct to go all in preflop with decent hands. For example, you would push any pair, any ace, and any king. Whether you push certain queens, jacks, etc depends on the kicker and whether it's suited. I don't bother trying to "outplay" my opponent when it's HU and one of us has 10bb because I know I have an edge when I play it push/fold this way.

Can you afford to purchase SnG Power Tools? It'll help you learn proper push/fold for situations like this.

you cant afford to sit around too long when on every hand you blind off an avg. of 750 chips. thats ~35 hands until you are blinded out completely, so you have the time to wait for a deceent spot, but by no means can you sit back and wait on QQ+/AK.

Courtie pretty much said it all. You need to widen your calling range since you know that he is pushing a wide range of hands. In addition, if villain is under 10bbs, you can almost safely push any two cards when in the sb.

Now if he is pushing with a stack that was considerably larger than 10bbs, then he is playing incorrectly. If he has 11 or 12 bbs and pushing that's not really that bad since a standard raise would almost make him pot committed anyways.
