Default AK in SB Do I fold this pre??

    Merge Network $0.02/$0.04 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players -

    UTG: $11.76
    MP: $4.11
    CO: $3.14
    BTN: $2.36
    Hero (SB): $4.00
    BB: $4.36

Pre Flop: ($0.06) Hero is SB with A K
3 folds, BTN raises to $0.12, Hero raises to $0.36????, 1 fold, BTN calls $0.24

    Flop: ($0.76) J 6 7 (2 players)
Hero checks ??, BTN bets $0.38

Should I play this pre?? if so do you donk the flop?? Villian was 23-9 over about 40 hands or so.

Not to be picky but since you were the last aggressor preflop, the flop bet wouldn't be a donk, but a cbet. Also preflop sizing try bigger, like 0.42.

Absolutely not folding pre. Def bet the flop but it's not donking because you were the last aggressor. Would like to hear from others on sizing.

Could we fold here if the villain would have re raised pre? Also if you bet the flop and he just calls what turn card are you firing again with and is there a turn card that shuts us down?? Thanks for the help

This is where reads are important. Some people at these stakes will spazz out and 4-bet shove A9o, some people will only 4-bet AA and KK. It all depends on who you're up against.

If he calls the cbet, I'd b/f on any AKQ turn.

Is this a 6max table or a fr table that's short? If its 6m, then without reads I'd 5b/shove over a 4b. I'd its full ring then at these stakes people don't adjust well so I'd prob think about it and might do anything to a 4b pre. But always 3b. Actually looking at villas stack size I'm happily stacking off pre.

As for leading the flop and barreling. You're pretty commuted if you 3b bigger and lead flop

Yeah we could fold, it would be horrible, but we could do it.

Villain is 23/9. We don't need more than 40 hands to know that he's a fish. If he 4bets then we get it in against his short stacked fishass.
